The 2013 Annual Somerville Council on Aging’s St. Patrick’s Day Party was held this past Thursday afternoon at Somerville’s Winter Hill Yacht Club.

The members of the yacht club hosted and sponsored the annual event that included everything from homemade Irish dishes of corned beef and cabbage with Irish bread and dessert to good old-fashioned Irish music. Folk dancing and festive St. Paddy’s decor filled the ballroom overlooking the Mystic River.

Over a hundred Somerville seniors were in attendance at the St. Patrick’s Day event, most decked out in green, wearing clovers and leprechaun pins.

The Winter Hill Yacht Club has been a good neighbor in the community hosting many of Somerville’s Council on Aging events for the city’s seniors for several years.
