A West Somerville Neighborhood School (WSNS) student was allegedly threatened at knife point by a fellow student March 5. Capt. Paul Upton confirmed Somerville police have applied for a complaint against the juvenile in connection with the incident.

Police are not releasing any details of the case because there has not been a hearing and no complaint has been issued, Upton said.
Superintendent of Somerville Public Schools Anthony Pierantozzi said the incident is a sensitive one because it is a police matter involving juveniles. But he did make one comment.
“There is an extraordinary difference of opinion from the students on what actually took place,” he said.
