Somerville’s Holiday Inn was the place to be  Saturday evening where the “Toys for Local Children” event  took place.

The packed function room was filled with the charity’s supporters who raised over $15,000 in donations.

The event’s success is credited to Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone, Council on Aging Director Cindy Hickey, former Somerville Mayor/current Registrar of Deeds Gene Brune and the Aldermen for their continuous dedicated support throughout the years for the charity.

One of the event’s raffle winners was State Representative Tim Toomey who re-donated his cash winnings back to the charity.
