Joseph
and Nabil Sater, of Middle East fame, have done an excellent job of
cleaning up an old eyesore and turning it into a place that could bring
our diverse community together.

When the brothers bought the
old armory in 2004 for $2.6 million, they made it clear it wouldn't be
a nightclub. And it seems they kept their promise.

Instead of
a noisy club, we're getting a center devoted to bringing the arts into
our neighborhoods. There will be a special focus on educating children
and the folks at Little Sisters of the Poor across the street are
excited too.

Thank you Sater brothers, for enhancing the Somerville community with your project, instead of just capitalizing off it.

And
a thank you to Ward 5 Alderman Sean O'Donovan for facilitating the
project for four years and keeping neighbors informed of what's coming
next. Without proper communication, misinformation too often circulates
through our dense city streets.
