Police dispatchers were alerted to reports of a man prowling around the Teele Square area in the early morning hours of November 8.

The man was reportedly spotted checking the handles of parked cars along Holland Street.

Police officers found the man and asked him to explain his actions, but he reportedly fled the scene and officers gave chase on foot through the Tufts Administration Building parking lot, police said.

Police eventually caught up with the man at the Powderhouse School basketball court and brought him to the ground where he was handcuffed and held for questioning, according to police.

A search of the suspect yielded an expensive GPS unit on his person, police said

The original reporting party stated that the man being held was seen by her standing in the Driveway of  a Holland Street residence with the drivers side door of a vehicle open, police said.  She also reportedly stated that as she looked at him he stared back at her.

A victim also came forward, reporting the loss of a GPS unit matching that found on the suspect’s person, according to police.

Steeve Milice, 19, was arrested and charged with nighttime breaking and entering of a vehicle or boat and receiving stolen property over $250.
