Boston Handmade Marketplace

ArtsUnion continues the 2011 series with the Boston Handmade Marketplace in Union Square, Somerville. The outdoor market features work by Massachusetts artists, craftspeople, and artisans associated with the nonprofit arts organization Boston Handmade. Curated by Jessica Burko and Boston Handmade, the marketplace promotes local, independent businesses producing handmade, one-of-a-kind works from small studio environments.

More than 25 artists and craftspeople will be on hand to sell handmade jewelry, ceramics, textile art, handspun yarn, paper goods, hand blown glass, and more. Also on tap will be live music and a craft demonstrations. Boston Handmade helps artists make a living by making art. From the creative to the curious, items at the Boston Handmade Marketplace are produced by local artisans who respect the creative process, and want to make a connection with their customers.

The event will take place Saturday , July 30,  3-7 p.m. (RD: Sun, July 31)
