The GBL freshman-sophmore girls track meet held on Thursday, April 21, at Cambridge, saw freshman Melissa Baptista having a great day with three first places in the high jump, 400m hurdles, and relay.

Alison Kaba took first in the 100m, while Meghan Lynch led in the mile.

Other first place finishes included Gelynne Berger in the 200, Kellie Hagerty with the shot put, Racael Berry in the triple jump.

Relay teams consisting of the above mentioned athletes as well as Kaylee Lima, Laxmi Spearing, and Sabrina Kerr, also dominated the event.

Coach Charlie O’Rourke praised their efforts saying, “It was a good opportunity for some of our younger athletes to compete against their own age group. Our girls performed very well in yet another cold day.”
