Wally Sparks is serious about multimedia success: the Somerville-Cambridge rapper hosts a television show, stars in a sitcom and has released over 40 hip hop mixtapes.

Wally Sparks is back.

The well-known Somerville-Cambridge MC disappeared from TV screens a few months ago when his award winning show Heir 2 Tha Streetz ended its five-year run of showcasing local and national hip hop acts.

Now, Sparks is expanding his hustle with two new shows, a collaborative album and live performances.

On his new web sitcom “North Side Story” – billed as the first ‘hood sitcom – Sparks stars alongside Totally Travis and DeVamps as an aspiring rapper trying to break through to the big time. He’s also preparing a new television show, Off the Wall TV, featuring music videos that airs Wednesdays at 8:30.

On the music side, Sparks is collaborating with producer Magg Beatz on a new album to be released in July.

Sparks will also be hosting a live show April 21 at Club Keiko, 751 Main St., in Worcester.
