East Somerville Main Streets invites you on a culinary journey around the world on September 17th, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Broadway in Somerville. Returning for its thirteenth year, the East Somerville Foodie Crawl highlights local businesses and celebrates cuisine from El Salvador, Brazil, Italy, France, Mexico, and more.

“I’ve been participating in the Foodie Crawl since the first one. Every year, I have the opportunity to showcase my food and dishes. I always meet new people who didn’t know about us and leave with a great impression, wanting to come back.” Lorenzo Reyes, owner of Rincon Mexicano.

Originating as an event to uplift the area’s local restaurants, this year’s Foodie Crawl not only highlights the expanse of cultural cuisines but the camaraderie between business owners in East Somerville. Whether it’s helping another business build its outdoor patio, exchanging advice on legal processes and licensing or teaming up to create multicultural dishes, these local restaurateurs have transcended cultural and socioeconomic lines to help each other succeed in many ways. Their commitment to collaboration goes beyond mutual aid and connections between establishments, fostering a strong sense of community within the neighborhood. Foodie Crawl is the perfect way to celebrate that.

“The East Broadway Business district is home to many of Somerville’s best local restaurants, and Foodie Crawl is an exciting way to try them all! The proceeds from the event will help East Somerville Main Streets forward its mission of promoting a vibrant and diverse commercial district,” says Lindsay Allen, Executive Director of East Somerville Main Streets.

Ticket holders receive a wristband and brochure featuring restaurant and event information to guide them on their crawl. Guests can stroll down Broadway sampling the various offerings and discovering new favorite restaurants. Additionally, guests will have a chance to win a special prize from Ploughed Hill Honey in exchange for leaving business reviews.

Whether you’re a seasoned foodie, expanding your horizons, or simply looking for a fun day out, the East Somerville Foodie Crawl is a wonderful opportunity to support local businesses while enjoying the best of East Somerville. Tickets are offered on a sliding scale of $10-25 for children over 4, $20-30 for students, and $25-$40 for adults. Tickets are available now through the morning of the event, September 17th or until they run out. Tickets must be purchased prior to the event date. There will not be tickets available onsite.
