Cirque Us is thrilled to be performing their award-winning show “Cirque Us Stories” at the Arts at the Armory on September 4 and 5. 

“Cirque Us Stories” is a new, thoughtfully curated show that flips through the pages of our troupe’s favorite stories to bring you a touching, thrilling narrative about community and identity. Interweaving a collection of folktales, classic literature, children’s stories, modern fiction, and more, this show jumps off the page with twists, flips, rewrites, and retellings of stories you’ll love. The show features aerialists, jugglers, acrobats, contortionists, clowns, and more, all ready to fly off the shelf and straight to you.

As part of their mission to spread circus magic to all, Cirque Us is thrilled to share that this new show is being developed specifically with community in mind. Alongside their regular performance venues, they have partnered with a set of schools, libraries, and community centers to bring the circus directly to the people. Access to high-quality performance and arts education is a precious commodity, and through the help of strategic partnerships and grant funding, they are so excited to support the reach and accessibility of the arts with this show.

Since their founding year and very first production in 2016, Cirque Us has expanded to produce and tour original, full-length works year after year, alongside educational experiences such as camps, workshops, and other events for people of all ages and abilities. The DailyUV.com calls this troupe “the perfect blend of sophistication and fun,” and “non-stop action that keeps you guessing as to what is to come next.”

The 2024 troupe of “Cirque Us Stories” comes from across the United States and have a collective

resume which includes Circus Smirkus, Cirque Dreams, Pippin National Tour, Santa’s Circus, SeaWorld, All Wheel Sports, Westchester Circus Arts, Zoppe Circus, and Kidz Roc. Cast members have received awards for 1st Place in Aerial Rope, Aerial Hoop and Ground Acts at VIVA Variety Festival.
