No matter the season, I make a point to stop off at Truro Vineyards when I have the chance. It’s beautiful year-round, but especially so during the spring and summer months. Check out the website for special events like, paint and sip, wine and dine, live music, and a schedule of food trucks.
They offer a variety of wines, red, white, and rosé. The estate grown grape varietals include Cabernet Franc and Merlot. For their other varieties of wines, grapes are sourced from other vineyards around the country. Regardless of your preference, either red or white, they are worth trying and I’m sure you will be impressed either way.
No worries for those of you who are not into wine but like different types of spirits, they have you covered. On a recent trip, I picked up some gin and amaro, perfect for making Negronis. There is also rum and whiskey to try out. They also offer cocktails for your enjoyment which really showcase their craft. The staff’s dedication to their job is evident in their knowledge and exceptional customer service.
So, if you find yourself in the area check it out, you won’t be sorry. I especially like the rum aged Malbec and the reserve Cabernet Sauvignon offered as their limited release wines. If oysters are on your menu, the Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect pairing. Just be sure to double check the website for hours of operation.
