Somerville Police Crime Log May 14 – 20

Assault
On 5/15/24 at approximately 2:13 p.m., Somerville Police responded to Middlesex Ave. for report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victims who stated they were involved in an altercation with two male parties after selling them some speakers. During the altercation, one of the male suspects brandished a knife at them and the other male hit the victim with a golf club. Officers identified both male suspects.

Arrest
On 5/18/24 at approximately 11:25 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Kent Ct. for an unwanted individual. Upon arrival, officers observed the back door had been forced open. Upon entering the residence, officers encountered a male party inside who was placed under arrest.

Robbery
On 5/21/24 at approximately 12:28 a.m., Somerville Police responded to 84 Broadway for a check condition. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a male party who stated a few hours earlier while in Foss Park, he was approached by four males who brandished knives at him the stole his speaker.
 
Commercial Breaking and Entering
On 5/20/24 at approximately 9:35 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a building on Prospect St. for a report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with two victims who stated their bicycle and a tire were stolen from the garage.
 
Assault

On 5/17/24 at approximately 9:39 p.m., Somerville Police responded to Washington St. and Boston St. for report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated a male party came up to his vehicle and began kicking it. The victim confronted the suspect and the suspect brandished a knife and lunged at him. Officers identified the suspect.

Residential Breaking and Entering
On 5/19/24 at approximately 2:07 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Sunset Rd. for a report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the residents who stated they were out of town and when they returned home, observed items out of place and several belongings missing.
