A celebration of Somerville’s newly updated community climate action plan, Climate Forward, took place on Wednesday, April 24 at Greentown Labs. Attendees stepped into Somerville in 2050, an inspiring community where our collective efforts have triumphed in creating a climate-forward society.

Live music, refreshments, and interactive art installations that depict our shared vision of resilience in the face of climate change were in abundance. Featured speakers included Somerville Mayor Katjana Ballantyne.

Climate Forward is Somerville’s plan to creating a strong, healthy community in the face of climate change while simultaneously reducing climate pollution, also referred to as greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and our dependence on fossil fuels.
