Gloria L. (Bussolari) Resmini, of Swampscott, formerly of Somerville for more than eighty years, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024. She was 98 years of age.

Gloria was the loving wife of the late Peter Resmini, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage until his passing in 2008.  She was born in Somerville to the late Gaetano and Stella (Comastri) Bussolari, both of whom emigrated from Italy.

During her lifetime, Gloria enjoyed winters in Florida, penny card games with her brothers, ballroom dancing, and coffee with friends.

Gloria leaves her children, Kenneth Resmini and his wife Jan, Debra Ronga and her partner Frank Buckley and her late husband Louis Ronga, Ronald Resmini and his wife Marilyn; she also leaves her grandchildren Alana Rawlinson and her husband Taylor, Victoria Ronga and the late Talia Ronga, Marissa and Emma Resmini, Gloria was blessed with one great-grandchild, Luca Rawlinson.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Armundo, Leo, Frank, Angelo, Quinto and Albert.  A Funeral Service Celebrating Gloria’s Eternal Life will be held on Thursday April 4th, 2024 in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM at 11 am. Interment Holy Cross Malden.

Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Wednesday April 3rd, 2024 from 4 pm to 7 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
