The Somerville Public Library Board of Trustees is actively seeking one enthusiastic individual to join their ranks, and we welcome applications from all Somerville residents. This is a chance for community members with diverse experiences, skills, and perspectives to contribute their passion for libraries to our vibrant community.
What is the Somerville Public Library Board of Trustees?
As the governing body of the Somerville Public Library, the Board of Trustees collaborates with the Library Director to oversee operational and administrative policies. In addition to providing essential guidance, Trustees actively support the library through strategic planning, advocacy, public relations, and outreach efforts.
Who Can Join?
The open position available to any Somerville resident 18 or older who is passionate about libraries and want to contribute to their growth.
What is the Time Commitment?
The Board typically meets on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. As a Trustee, you will be appointed by the Mayor to serve a three-year term in a volunteer capacity.

Applications are due by the end of the day on Monday, April 15.
