What better year to find your inner dragon power than 2024, the year of the dragon? Kicking off this Saturday, February 10 at 10:00 a.m., LEGO Discovery Center Boston will preview its NINJAGO: Dragon’s Rising Event.

This kickoff event will feature traditional Lion Dances from Yee’s Southern Lions in Quincy as well as demonstrations of sword, bo and nunchucks from Xtreme Ninja in Medford. These ninja masters will also be teaching basic punches and kicks blocks to all guests in attendance. In addition to enjoying these special guests and performances, this event will be the first chance for families to experience the LEGO NINJAGO: Dragon’s Rising event. The event will continue through March 31.

The event is based on NINJAGO®: Dragons Rising which is a new show that launched in 2023 which details the saga of NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu. With teamwork and a spark of dragon power, families will need to find missing Ninjas, learn Spinjitzu, build giant LEGO® dragons and even enjoy an epic dance party to find their true dragon power.

Event experiences and activities include:

• Build the baby dragon Riyu in the Workshop and see what baby Riyu sparks in you
• Kids and adults experience a new Ninja training to discover the legendary art of Spinjitzu
• Help build a giant LEGO Dragon
• Collect limited edition dragon power pop badges and touch a plasma ball to spark your dragon energy
• The Ninjas have been separated from each other in MINIWORLD® – search for them to bring them back together
• Join an epic dance party at the Crossroads Carnival
