Sincere Foundation announced that it has completed its first full grant cycle and distributed $250,000 across twenty nonprofit organizations that address basic needs in Massachusetts. The grants support programs that align with Sincere Foundation’s three key funding priorities: food security, housing stability, and safe spaces. Boston-based technology company Sincere Corporation created Sincere Foundation in 2023. The Foundation is made possible by the support of the Company’s family of brands: Punchbowl®, Timehop®, and Memento®.
“We are excited to help empower Massachusetts organizations and the essential work they do in their communities with this funding cycle,” said Rebecca Reiner, Executive Director, Sincere Foundation. “These grants exemplify our commitment to support nonprofits that address basic needs, and we look forward to continuing this work in 2024 and beyond.”
Among the notable recipients is Lovin’ Spoonfuls, an organization dedicated to the rescue and distribution of healthy, fresh food that would otherwise be discarded throughout Greater Boston, MetroWest, Worcester County, and Hampden County. Initiatives like this one represent a vital step to help families in Massachusetts, where one in three households experience food insecurity or lack of consistent access to adequate food according to the Greater Boston Food Bank’s Third Annual Report, published in May 2023.
“At Sincere, we build technology that brings you closer and helps show you care to the people in your life who matter the most,” said Matt Douglas, Founder & CEO, Sincere Corporation. “We’re proud to support this exceptional group of organizations with our Foundation, and work towards a future where everyone has the opportunity to celebrate, recognize milestones, and honor memories.”
In addition to $75,000 awarded to three nonprofits earlier in 2023, the following organizations received a grant from Sincere Foundation:
