Somerville Police Crime Log Oct. 10 – 16

Assault
On 10/4/23 at approximately 6:40 p.m., Somerville Police responded to 355 Broadway for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he was picking up food and was approached by an unknown male who yelled at him and threatened to come back with a gun. Shortly after, the male came back with another male party and they started attacking the victim with a metal pole.

Residential Breaking and Entering
On 10/12/23 at approximately 5:07 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Prospect St. for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he heard footsteps near his room then observed a male party flee out the back door. Nothing was reported missing.
 
Residential Breaking and Entering
On 10/12/23 at approximately 4:13 p.m., Somerville Police took a report regarding a past breaking and entering at a residence on Broadway. The victim stated she was sitting in her living room and a male party entered into her apartment through the door. He took a step inside then fled. Nothing was reported missing.
 
Assault
On 10/16/23 at approximately 5:10 p.m., Somerville Housing Police responded to a residence on Warren Ave. for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated she was involved in an altercation with a male party. During the altercation, the male party brandished a wooden stick and threatened to hit her with it.
 
Assault
On 10/14/23 at approximately 7:32 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a business on Lowden Ave. for report of an unwanted individual. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he was engaged in an argument with a male party. During the argument, the male party brandished a broken beer bottle and pointed it at the victim. Officers identified the male suspect.
 
Residential Breaking and Entering
On 10/14/23 at approximately 10:07 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a business on Bow St. for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers observed a male party sleeping in the basement. Nothing was reported missing.
