Somerville Police Log February 21 – March 8

Residential Breaking and Entering
On 3/2/23 at approximately 7:36 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on North St. for report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated several valuable items were stolen from her mother’s apartment while she was out.
 

Arrest
On 2/28/23 at approximately 7:55 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a gas station on Alewife Brook Pkwy. for report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated earlier in the day, a male party entered the gas station store and began acting rude to employees. After he was told to leave, the male party grabbed a hammer and began chasing the employees then threatened to kill them. He fled the area prior to police arrival. Later at approximately 9:00 p.m., the male party returned to the area. Officers located him and he was placed into custody.
 
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 2/21/23 at approximately 12:52 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence in the area of Broadway and Garrison Ave. for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victims who stated their home was broken into while under construction and a stove was stolen.
