November 11, 1986 ~ September 14, 2022

Elissa R. Haley, a life long resident of Somerville devoted and deeply loved daughter of Tricia Sahlas of Everett and Bill Haley of Somerville, passed away on Wednesday, September 14th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Elissa was a loyal and genuine person.  When she loved, she loved hard.  She had an infectious sense of humor and a smile that could light up a room.  Elissa enjoyed her cream of wheat from the neighborhood restaurant and a daily iced coffee at Dunks.  It did not take much to make her happy, all she needed was her family, especially since the unexpected loss of her dear brother, Austin in 2013.  Elissa carried the sadness and longing of losing her brother and somedays struggled.  The relationship with her family and many friends helped her.   Elissa shared an especially close relationship with her Mom and best friend Tricia and most of all, she was a deeply devoted mother to Jayden, who was her entire world.  Elissa will always be her Daddy’s little girl and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Elissa leaves her cherished and adoring son Jayden Haley.  Sister and best friend of her late brother, Austin “Roona” Haley.  Beloved granddaughter of the late Frank and Margie Bertocchi, with whom she shared a deep relationship and granddaughter of the late Dolores and Pete Haley.  Elissa also leaves loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Genoa Church, 185 Summer St., Somerville on Thursday, September 22nd, 2022 at 11:00am.

Visiting hours will be held prior to the Mass in the church from 9:30am to 11:00am.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Elissa’s Memory to the Elissa Haley Memorial Fund, c/o Winter Hill Bank, 342 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02145.
