Two Boston men were caught in a stolen car after driving though Somerville on Dec. 26, police said.

Juan Torres, 37, of 74B Intervale St., Dorchester, and Michael Neely, 53, of 79 Chandler St., Boston, were arrested in Everett after Somerville police officer Derrick Dottin followed them from McGrath Highway to Wellington Circle and into Everett, police said.

Police were initially notified of a stolen car in the area when Dottin’s Lo-Jack recovery unit was activated, police said.

Police allegedly found Torres and Neely in the car when they pulled it over. The passenger side window was busted and the ignition of the vehicle was popped out, police said. Neither suspect could prove ownership, police said.

Torres was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and larceny of a motor vehicle. Neely was arrested in Everett and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and warrant charges of destruction of property over $250, trespass and attempt to commit a crime.
