His collection Becoming Vulnerable (2020) details his experience with autism, addiction, sobriety and spirituality. Dawn, why do you come & go,
Naked, full of God,
Black & blue in the mirror?
Watered by years of tears
Whispering the breeze which
Blows back my hair
Untying matted knots of thought
With forgiveness?
Vanilla orchids, perfume clouds—
Poetry, what am I to You?
My jagged ridges cannot dull
Your heavenly ocean, sky, stars,
Confined as I am hungry
For sweaty masses.
