I spotted you
in the middle
of Somerville Ave.
staring down a Mack truck
that shudders
in its sedentary place
your fleshy,
red mottled
neck ripples
in defiance.
Your eyes show no fear
just a narrowing focus
on this goliath
that you must tame
with your small head
and bird brain.
And don’t turn away
from this townie turkey
as he trots
to peck your ass
but you know
the bird has
absolutely
no class.
Mayor Turkatone
has left us
and finally found a home.
