A 41-year-old homeless woman tried to blame her nephew after she stole a smart phone from a man who was allowing her to stay with him, police said.

Kim Casey was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property over $250. Police said when the man realized his phone was missing, he called it and Casey answered.

She allegedly refused to give the phone back and hung up on him. The man tracked Casey down at 79 Derby St. and called for police.

When police arrived, Casey allegedly said she had given the phone to her nephew. The nephew said he never had the phone but did see Casey with it.
