Assault Log August 24 2021 to August 30 2021

On 8/28/21 at approximately 6:10 PM, Somerville Police responded to 400 Somerville Ave for report of an unarmed robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a male victim who stated approximately 20 minutes prior, he was approached by a white male wearing a white hoodie and riding a bike that attempted to grab his watch and wallet. The victim pulled away then fled the area. Officers then spoke with another victim who stated a male matching the same description struck him in his face.

On 8/25/21 at approximately 5 PM, Somerville Police responded to the area of Broadway & Garfield Ave for report of two males fighting. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a male victim who stated while inside a nearby restaurant, he observed the male party looking at his vehicle. When the victim confronted the male party, the male party struck him in the head multiple times. Officers identified the male party.

On 8/26/21 at approximately 4:50 PM, Somerville Police responded to the area of Broadway & Alewife Brook Parkway for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with two males who stated they were involved in an argument that escalated into a fight.

Firearm recovered

On 8/25/21, the Somerville Police’s Community Action Team, Middlesex Special Investigation Unit, Bristol County Narcotics Unit, and Attleboro Police, executed a search warrant at an Attleboro residence.  The subject was taken into custody by the Bristol County Sheriff’s Department on multiple outstanding warrants.  In his bedroom, Detectives located a loaded 9mm firearm which had been stolen out of Cambridge.  He was charged with Possession / Carrying a Firearm, 2nd Off; Poss of Firearm / Ammo w/o FID Card Subsq Off; Firearm, Store Improp; Receive Stolen Property -$1200.
